Instructions

The Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska is set to host the 3rd Annual Wheel Hub Live event on May 23 and 24. This gathering brings together an impressive array of custom vehicles that have been featured in Wheel Hub Magazine, offering a weekend filled with excitement for car lovers. Last year's event attracted over 5,000 specialty cars and spectators. Tim Matthews, curator of the Museum of American Speed, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming participants back for this year's edition, promising it to be even better than before.

This year’s showcase features an inspiring collection of automobiles spread throughout the museum's newly expanded 30,000 square feet. The Friday Wheel Hub Live Reliability Run offers participants a chance to cruise through Nebraska's best hot rod destinations for $60 per person, including meals. On Saturday, visitors can bring their specialty vehicles to gain access to two museum passes without needing prior registration. Local sponsors such as Visit Lincoln and Firespring support this rain-or-shine event, which encourages all enthusiasts to attend.

The Museum of American Speed, established in 1992 by Bill and Joyce Smith, preserves the history of automotive racing and speed equipment development. As a federally recognized nonprofit organization, it displays significant items from racing and automotive history. Speedway Motors, another key partner, provides high-quality automotive parts and racing products since 1952, contributing significantly to the industry.

Participants and enthusiasts alike are encouraged to register or learn more details at MuseumofAmericanSpeed.org. With its commitment to showcasing automotive excellence, the Museum of American Speed continues to be a vital hub for car culture.

Beyond the event itself, the Museum remains dedicated to preserving and presenting the evolution of automotive racing engines and speed equipment. By expanding its facilities and enhancing its exhibits, it ensures that each visitor experiences something new and exciting. This third annual celebration promises not only to honor the past but also to inspire future generations of car aficionados.
